Long ago a man wrote a book, a heavily misused and misunderstood book, that man was famous anarchist George Orwell. He wrote of a world in the year 1984, his book named 1984 speaks of a situation that is widely interpreted as anti-communist, which I want to disagree with here.
George Orwell writes of a world divided into a few big factions in a perpetual state of war with each other. It mainly centres around the state of Oceania and, more specifically, Airstrip One (“Great” Bri’ain), which is ruled by a man called “Big Brother”. Now you may ask “What does this have to do with Anarchism?”, and I tell you, everything.
Anarchy Through Archy
As I explained before, the best way to achieve anarchy is by building a totalitarian state, Big Brother is an anarchist revolutionary. Big Brother is fighting to establish a society without hierarchies by first flooding Oceania with hierarchies, so he can free the rest of the world from their oppressors. Once Big Brother freed the world from their Eurasian and East Asian oppressors he will slowly begin to establish more and more hierarchies, so that he can get rid of them all at once in a big boom.
